Top 3 Cookie Recipes You Need to Learn at Our Baking Studio in Singapore

Who can ignore the heavenly aroma coming from any baking studio in Singapore when they are making fresh cookies! In this apt but anonymous quote,“Life is better with fresh baked cookies”! The humble cookie is anything but.

The recipe is deceptively simple, while allowing for all sorts of combinations and customisations. They come in all shapes, flavours, sizes and textures, while being a great way to dip your toes into the baking world.

W

Besides, these tasty treats make great presents for your friends, colleagues and loved ones, which can be easily customised to every occasion and preference.

1. Cranberry Biscotti

Wonderfully light, crisp, crunchy, the cranberry biscotti is like a dense, crunchy cookie. Eat them as they are, or dipped in a piping hot cup of coffee or tea! Often made around the Christmas festive period, the addition of dried cranberries gives it a festive zing.

Fun fact: They’re actually a healthier alternative than most conventional baked foods, much less than the beloved donut or cookie. Originating from Italy, the name essentially translates to “twice cooked”. This double-baking process renders them non-perishable, plus gives them their signature dry, crunchy texture.

Switch them up with most conventional cookie pairings, such as chocolate, nuts, dried fruits and even jams!

2. Matcha Almond Cookies

Waiting for Japan’s travel borders to open up? Satisfy your travel wanderlust with some matcha almond cookies! Quality matcha, aka Japanese green tea powder, is a vivid shade of green as opposed to a dull green.

The earthy, slight-bitter green tea notes complement light vanilla notes for a delightful dessert, even after a hearty meal. Finally, thin almond slices add a nice nutty crunch that leaves you simply craving for more. Take it up a notch with the addition of molten white chocolate chips for a hint of sweetness.

3. Chocolate Chip Cookies

The chocolate chip cookie is a timeless classic for a reason. With a generous folding of decadent chocolate chips, these simply melt in your mouth. Popular additions include peanut butter chunks, white chocolate chips and sprinkle of chopped nuts for a layered mouthfeel.

Fun fact: To differentiate your cookies from the rest, use only premium ingredients for the chocolate chips, butters and sugars. As different types of flours can potentially complicate your recipe, stick to plain, all-purpose flour to maintain consistency.

Any seasoned home baker will tell you that even the simplest of recipes can easily become a recipe for disaster with just the slightest mistake. Taking classes in a professional baking studio in Singapore like BELLS Baking Studio allows us to share the science behind baking, so that you can create your recipes and adjust them as desired.

How Robotic Process Automation Course (RPA) in Singapore Can Make HR’s Job Easier

Prior to the introduction of RPA courses in Singapore, Human Resources (HR) was seen as a highly manual department, dealing with tons of paperwork.

It’s also not uncommon to hear of delays in administrative processes, such as payroll, leave management, and employee onboarding processes.

What if manual processes can be automated so that HR can become a high-value strategic role?

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) courses in Singapore revolutionise processes and eliminate repetitive manual labour for businesses.

How you may ask?

Robotic Process Automation is able to eliminate such repetitive, manual labour, while RPA courses in Singapore can educate on how to digitise and improve overall efficiency, freeing up capacity for more critical business operations. This is especially critical in a post-pandemic world, where it can mean the difference between staying afloat or going under in this hyper-competitive business climate.

Here are 3 instances where a Robotic process automation course  can significantly help you transform workflows and improve job satisfaction across the board!

1. Streamline candidate hiring and onboarding systems

Screening resumes and shortlisting candidates through the hiring procedure is a necessary but mundane process that all businesses can relate to, regardless of scale or industry. In certain instances, the final hiring decision can be coloured by inherent bias, leading to less-than-ideal candidates that prove to be a misfit with the company.

With the introduction of RPA courses in SIngapore, HRs now can drastically reduce your screening time by automating the process, analysing resumes with predetermined rules in order to uncover an objective fit.

This raises the overall quality of interview candidates, while also reducing the margin for human error, i.e. missing out on quality hires! HR professionals can also automate the entire follow-up process, creating a seamless candidate experience for the interviewee as well.

This extremely informative video by Automation Anywhere shows how exactly RPA helps the HR automate the employee onboarding process with some easy and hassle-free steps.

2. Reduce human errors and ensure compliance

By working on set rules, Robotic Process Automation Course helps the HRs  to effectively reduce the error margin to zero. This is to say, 100% accuracy can be achieved as long as the parameters are sound.

A huge relief to employees who have to burn the midnight oil, trying to find the elusive error that’s messing up their calculations! By freeing up their time for more advanced creative and critical thinking tasks, companies are able to improve productivity without any upward pressure on headcount.

Maintaining compliance is also a key HR function that shouldn’t be overlooked. Strict labour and equal representation laws require companies to prioritise error-free and smooth compliance, where every single detail needs to be thoroughly scrutinised. Using RPA software for compliance-related activities speeds up the process, minimises delays and human errors, enhancing the overall accuracy and granting ease of mind.

3. Validate HR decisions with analytics

Taking RPA to the next level, intelligent automation can surface data trends that otherwise may not have been highlighted, as well as predict into the future to allow for forecasting decisions and support the company’s future growth decisions.

According to a case study from Automation Anywhere, RPA implemented in HR functions can save up to 7,000 hours of employee time annually. A further study by Deloitte claims that RPA deployment leads to 10-20% savings not just in HR, but for the overall business processes.

Of course, Rome was not built in a day.

Start the team off with a few low-complexity and low-risk automations and they’ll soon have increased learning capacity to build more complex solutions with minimal additional resources.

At this RPA Course in Singapore offered by BELLS Technology Hub, learn how to automate business processes at speed and scale even without prior automation background! We are also an Approved Training Partner of Automation Anywhere, the global leader in Robotic process Automation Course.

For experienced HR professionals, the demand for RPA-related skills are on the rise. Seize the chance to up-skill and work towards the RPA Certification Singapore with our RPA courses in Singapore!

Bread Baking: The Perfect Activity for Stress Management

Here’s an interesting fact: baking lessons can lower your stress levels!

How?

Let’s dig a little deeper.

According to numerous psychologists, bread baking is one of the best remedies for stress management. If you have a lot on your mind, taking a class at BELLS Baking Studio might just be what you need.

Additionally, the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread straight from the oven is too hard for anyone to resist.

Remember the banana bread phenomenon at the height of pandemic lockdowns?

It’s not surprising that many of us turn to bread baking to cope with stress and deal with the lack of human interaction.

Let’s look at how this centuries-old tradition has survived the test of time!

Baking Beats Boredom

A study done by researchers at York University found that boredom has been linked to increased stress.

Think about it: when you’re bored, worries and fears tend to flood your mind, affecting your mental state.

So why not get rid of your boredom by focusing on a new hobby instead?

You can take things to the next level by signing up for bread baking lessons right here in Singapore. Our fully-equipped baking studio in Singapore will allow you to get outside of your comfort zone and do something fun for a change.

Helps You Work up a Sweat

Let’s be honest. Sitting in front of a screen is not good for your mental and physical health. You need to put in a bit of effort to get up and moving.

In fact, our learners at BELLS Baking Studio have to put in some strength when kneading dough during baking lessons. That definitely should burn some calories, right?

Mental and physical health goes hand in hand. Your body releases endorphins when you’re physically active which in turn, helps to reduce stress hormones.

Exercise Mindfulness

To be mindful is to be aware of everything that is going on around you while simply being in the moment. You need to be conscious of your surroundings; not only through sight but also with your other senses as well.

Here’s the truth: practising mindfulness lowers your stress levels and doing it while baking bread can be an amazing sensory experience.

So give it a go!

The Perfect Distraction

At our Singapore baking studio, you can leave your stress, anxiety and nerves at the door. Our hands-on bread baking lessons will keep you happily occupied.

Just like how making banana bread distracted us from the pandemic, bread baking, in general,  distracts us from negativity and puts us in a meditative state.

The best part about joining BELLS Baking Studio is leaving with a new skill and a BELLS recipe book to recreate recipes in the comfort of your own home!

Routine Brings Comfort

Speaking of comfort, psychologists have found that baking is great for your overall wellness as it is extremely comforting. Once you’ve learnt the techniques of bread baking, you can recreate recipes learnt in our baking courses at home whenever you feel overwhelmed.

Although many things in your life might be out of control, you will be glad to know that baking allows you to establish a routine. And when you have a set routine, a sense of calm will overtake you.

10 Jobs You Could Land with a CompTIA Certification

Are you wondering what exciting jobs you can get with a CompTIA Cert?

We’ve got you! The CompTIA certification is highly sought after by IT professionals and can help you secure your future in the industry. If you’re someone who’s just getting started, we’d recommend starting with the A+ CompTIA Certification.

In this article, we’ll look at the 3 core CompTIA certifications: A+, Network+ and Security+ courses, and some of the jobs you can land upon completion!

CompTIA A+ certification

  1. IT Support Specialist

The role of an IT support specialist requires you to be highly skilled in troubleshooting and fixing any technical issues that arise in a company. Just be prepared to be the go-to person for any wifi problems!

You are also expected to perform general maintenance like installing software and updating monitor operations.

  1. Data Support Technician

Gather, record, and recover business data when you work as a data support technician!

You will have to ensure that the data storage systems are secure and that the correct data can be retrieved when needed.

Moreover, you will also need to provide support to employees so that they are able to access the desired data.

  1. Server Support Technician

Basically, the job involves keeping the company’s important servers running smoothly.
You will also have to perform routine scans for assessing the vulnerability and security of the servers, as well as correct any issues when they are identified.

  1. Field Service Technician

Earn a great income working as a field service technician!

The role involves visiting clients, in their homes or offices, to provide technical and customer support.

Generally, you will have to troubleshoot, service, test and repair technical equipment while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

CompTIA Network+ Certification

  1. Computer Technician

Acquiring a CompTIA Network+ certification allows you to apply for a job as a computer technician that is sought after by many huge companies.

The role requires you to resolve technical issues that are bound to come up with the company’s computers and laptops.

Some of the tasks that you will need to perform include updating outdated computer systems and removing malware.

Just a head’s up: you might be called upon to fix wifi issues!

  1. Network Support Specialist

As the name suggests, network support specialists monitor networks and take on issues that come along the way.

Primary duties include maintaining, troubleshooting, assessing the company network and conducting network configuration checks.

Some specialists even provide support to users and train them.

  1. Network Engineer

Network engineer jobs are highly in-demand and come with a high salary.

However, this is not an easy role. The job description for a network engineer is pretty long. In a nutshell, they are the ones who design, execute and monitor networks in the local and wide areas of an organisation.

They also create firewalls and security systems to keep data and communications protected.

CompTIA Security+ Certification

  1. Cybersecurity Specialist

A WSQ Cyber Security course is highly regarded here in Singapore.

A cybersecurity specialist job is a demanding one; you will need to be responsible for an organisation’s overall IT system. You are expected to give advice and recommendations for any security implementations.

This job is ever-evolving as technology advances and new security threats develop.

  1. Help Desk Analyst

With CompTIA security+ training, you can work as a help desk analyst.

The role involves providing remote technical support to assist users. You will need to teach the customers how to operate software and hardware – and that also requires a ton of patience!
So having customer service and call centre experiences can be highly advantageous.
Good communication skills will definitely come in handy!

  1. Technical Support Specialist

A CompTIA Security+ course can also enable you to work as a technical support specialist.

All you will need to do is help users resolve the technical issue they’re facing and respond to technical queries.

Even though the duties might overlap with those of a help desk analyst, your main focus will be on the technical side.

Completing the CompTIA Security+ training at BELLS will help you to prep for the exam needed before applying for the cybersecurity specialist role.

Start your IT career with a CompTIA Certification at BELLS

As you can see, there are plenty of job opportunities for anyone who completes the A+, Network+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications. They are definitely courses that are worth pursuing!
