Starting from 1 May 2024, The Ministry of Education (MOE), together with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), have jointly introduce the SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme (SFLP) for mid-career Singaporeans aged 40 and above to pursue a substantive upskilling and stay industry relevant in a changing economy.
During Budget 2024, a $4,000 credit top-up for the mid-career Singaporeans, under SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme has been announced. This top-up, complements the existing Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES) to cover up to 90% of course fees for MOE and SSG-funded programmes.
From 1 May 2024, the $4,000 SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up can be applicable to further offset nett course fees for eligible courses that have better employability outcomes.
Moreover, this particular top-up doesnot have an expiry date and is intended to support the skills upgrading requirement of mid-career Singaporeans throughout their careers. This ensures continuity of support for mid-career reskilling efforts beyond the previous expiry date of 31 December 2025.
All Singaporeans, aged 40 and above will receive a $4,000 SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up, from 1 May 2024. The subsequent group of Singaporeans will receive their top-up of $4000 in the year they turn 40. SSG will notify eligible Singaporeans on the top-up nearer the date.
Courses eligible for the additional tier of SkillsFuture Credit will be tagged accordingly on the MySkillsFuture portal from 1 May 2024
